Details:
IMO the manual entry for recode needs a complete rewrite.
Some of the sentences don't make any grammatical sense, for example : "This
is only value if the source and target variables are of the same type.", and
sentences are which don't seem to have any connection with each other are
concatenated into paragraphs. Paragraph breaks are seemingly arbitrary.
There generally seems to be no coherence to the text, which I find hard to
follow.
