Details:

Default PSPPire works in batch syntax mode. SPSS works default in interactive
mode when using the interactive interface.

Is it possible to change the default behaviour to interactive mode?

Workaround:
start you syntax file with
INSERT 'test.sps'
  SYNTAX=INTERACTIVE.
