Hi

Under the GUI, if I put an accented character in the label of a variable eg "durée" (from the variable view panel), the accented character shows up as # in the text output window after a FREQUENCIES command for instance.

Saving the file and opening again preserves the accented character in the variable label of the variable view panel and other GTK windows.
but still not in the text output of FREQUENCIES for instance.

since I'm using the GUI and resaving the file,  I presume this is not because of a missing set encoding.



Without the GUI,

If accented characters are present between quotes in a script
such as
variable labels duree 'durée'.

they are not rendered afterwards in the output file.
