Follow-up Comment #1, bug #27046 (project pspp):
I'm confused.
Brandon's initial report seems to be the old problem of dynamic loading of
the libpsppire.so file, as evidenced by this warning:
(psppire:27240): libglade-WARNING **: Could not load support for
`psppire': ld.so.1: psppire: fatal: libpsppire.so: open failed: No
such file or directory
As I don't regularly use solaris, I can only give general advise: Psppire
needs to be able to find this library and load it at run time. Perhaps the
libpsppire.so file didn't get installed, or perhaps you need to set an
environment variable pointing to its location (eg LD_LIBRARY_PATH)
Alternatively, the 0.7.x series doesn't have this requirement so it's much
easier to install.
Ben's subsequent comment however seems to suggest an altogether different
problem, and one which I cannot reproduce.
