Details:

Whenever I try to start PSPP it shortly comes up and close immidediatly.

The similar bug found in

I have this problem in openSUSE 11.4 64 bit with KDE 4.6.0.
Workaroud for it:
1. removing files: ~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde4, ~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde
2. Go to KDE settings > "Application Apearance" > "GTK styles and fonts"
3. Select QtCurve theme
I tryied another styles, but with them PSPPIRE also chashed.
I have installed thees packages: 
gnome-icon-theme 
gnome-icon-theme-extras 
gnome-icon-theme-symbolic
hicolor-icon-theme
hicolor-icon-theme-branding-openSUSE
sonar-icon-theme
tango-icon-theme
qtcurve-gtk2

> psppire --version
