Follow-up Comment #41:

I've fixed all the locale issues that I could find. So I have pushed a change
which sets all the locale categories, including LC_NUMERIC

This means, that numbers will now display in the user interface according to
the locale, and hopefully no other ill effects will occur.

If problems arise, please re-open this bug.
