     OK.  I'm happy with that.

I've pushed a change fixing the immediate problem.

I have also run some quick manual tests on all the guis dialog boxes at least 
to prove
that the syntax generation does not cause serious problems, like this.

I will think about a longer term solution so that we can be sure that issues 
like this
do not recurr.
