Dear Ben and Others,

I am using PSPP version 8.4 on Windows 7. I have checked this issue with Linux and I did not encountered any problems.

For other windows users my temporary answer is just to move all databases directly onto hard drive to omit /User direction.

What version of PSPP is this?
What operating system are you using?
