I do see these warnings, but I am unable to provoke a crash using FREQUENCIES
Can you provide more details how to do that?
Thanks.

Hi,
When opening a sav file from the quality of government web site

This error message is repeated up to the limit that PSPP allows
in the output window.
The file shows in the data window but a simple frequency command
makes the program crash.
The file is public and can be acquired from
http://www.qogdata.pol.gu.se/data/qog_std_cs_jan16.sav for a
newer version which produces the same kind of error message.
Any help appreciated.
TIA
