Hi, i tried a short 2x2 crosstabs here on ElCapitan and I cannot reproduce a
crash.
So we need a testcase where this happens.

Could you maybe send a screenshot of the psppire windows? I have it
here on El Capitan with macports and cannot see this strange behavior.
Could you say
a) which port version do you use (pspp or pspp-devel) with version number?
b) Do you use XQuartz from macports or as standalone application or +quartz
option?
