I ran the check as root.  I would have thought that would have sufficient privileges.

I am intending to install this on a cluster with hundreds of users.  It would be odd for me to build this in a user home directory. Will they each need their own copy in their home directory?

Hi Daniel,

maybe you could try to build pspp in your home directory with normal user priviliges?
