Steps to reproduce
1) go to Data View
2) Select the 1st variable with left mouse click (gray becomes)
3) Right click - add new variable
4) Results an empty variable BUT also deletes all data to the variable that
you selected to created one.
This was not the default behavior! In the selected variable, it created an
empty on at the lefthand of the selected one without deleting its data
PSPP 2.0.1.
