TAR looking for direction (fwd)

Hi Francois
I am the maintainer of "tar-1.13.18" on HPUX Archive.

        http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Gnu/tar-1.13.18/

I 've had an e_mail from one of the HPUX users. I 've tested the program
myself ( But not with very big file ) and the program work perfect.
Do you have any idea about the problem below???
