Tar - large files

I download your "tar" package 1.13.18 to run on our HPUX L2000 running Unix
version 11i.  The products works great until we try and backup an Oracle
export file that is 2,205,086,720 bytes in length.  The error message I am
receiving is "Cannot stat: Value too large to be stored in data type".  Is
this a problem with large files?  I obtained the source code and compiled to
make sure the "--disable-largefile" argument was not used, but got the same
results.

Any help would be appreciated.
