Hi,
How can I enable 64 bit file open in "gzip"? I have a 3+ Gig data
file that I would like to gzip. I do know that fopen64 does 64 bit,
but I have not been able to locate the file open statement that is
used in the gzip code.
Compress will work on the file, but gzip will not open the file to
begin processing.
I am using Solaris7 and HPUX 11.0. The gzip version is:
gzip 1.2.4 (18 Aug 93)
gcc2.95.2 is the compiler I used on both systems.
thanks,
