sharutils-4.2 on Linux

I have build sharutils-4.2 on three different OSes.  On Linux (Red Hat 6.0
and 7.0), I get the following errors:
../../sharutils-4.2/po/nl.po:450: `msgid' and `msgstr' entries do not both
end with '\n'
../../sharutils-4.2/po/pt.po:415: `msgid' and `msgstr' entries do not both
end with '\n'
../../sharutils-4.2/po/pt.po:419: `msgid' and `msgstr' entries do not both
end with '\n'

BTW, the same thing happens with sharutils-4.2.1.  Personally I just
removed the "\n"s, and it worked fine.
