Problem with recent tar on NetBSD/sparc-1.5

Hi Paul,

I have the following problem that occurs with some .tar.gz with my
self-compiled tar since version 1.13.18 (my self-compiled 1.13.17 is
stable as a rock) on NetBSD/sparc-1.5:

$ tar xzf ImageMagick-5.3.8.tar.gz
tar: Child died with signal 13
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
$ tar --version
tar (GNU tar) 1.13.22
