Hello
I am not sure whether this is a bug, or most likely my lack of
understanding the date syntax.
I tried the following on a directory with files having dates from last
week to now.
tar cfvz --newer=20011113 BackUp.tgz BackUp
However what ever I did with the date string,
1. whether following the
convention given by the date command on my Linux (Suse 7.2, ie kernel
2.4 and glib.2.1) machine:
man date
[MMDDhhmm[[CC]YY][
resulting in
tar cfvz --newer=11132001 BackUp.tgz BackUp
It just did not work tar grabbed all the files in the directory.
What is wrong?
Thanks
