[intl] Is there anyway to find out what language & message file is in use ?

Is there anyway to find out what language & message file is in use 
by the libintl ?

Eg,

getcurrentlang() -> "sv"

getcurrentmsgcat() ->
"bizarreMSlocation\share\locale\sv\LC_MESSAGES\lifelines.mo"


Although I guess that the answers aren't so simple, as I think it
actually
keeps a list of domains -- anyway, it traverses a list of something --
so 
maybe this is not really feasible at all.
