consistent reproducible bug w/2.13 |

hello,
i've never posted a bugreport for gnu software before, so i apologize if i
don't format this correctly. i have posted the details to a thread in
comp.unix.solaris if you are interested.
in short:
sun sparc server 20, 2xSM71, 384M, mirrored boot disks, solaris 9 w/latest
recommended patch cluster.
gcc 3.2
binutils 2.13
gcc built using binutils 2.13, and vice versa. in attempting to compile and
install the latest release version of perl - 5.8.0, i could consistently
compile the program, but upon running 'make test', it would segfault before
completing any tests. after much pulling out of hair, i compiled and
installed binutils 2.12, after which perl will compile and 'make test' runs
flawlessly.
let me know if you need more data - truss output, stack trace of
corefile, etc etc etc
regards,
paul
