Hi,

don't ask me what I was trying to do but ld told me I should report this:

$ echo "int main(int argc, char *argv[]){}" > blah.c
$ gcc -c blah.c
$ ld -R/usr/lib/libc.so blah.o
ld: internal error: aborting at ldlang.c line 3843 in lang_place_orphans
ld: please report this bug
$ ld --version
GNU ld version 2.13
$ uname -a
NetBSD localhost 1.6I NetBSD 1.6I (DURON) #0: Wed Oct  9 02:37:50 CEST
2002     address@hidden:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/DURON i386

FYI, I manually upgraded my system to gcc-3.2 and binutils 2.13. Older
versions of ld i.e. 2.11.2 have the same problem but crash with a SIGSEGV
instead.
