If you run a configure script for a package with the CC environment
variable set and then run config.status --recheck several times, the
setting of the variable will be duplicated in the command line that gets
embedded in config.status. The end result is something like:
configured by ../../cvs/glib/configure, generated by GNU Autoconf 2.52,
with options \"--prefix=/opt/gnome2 --cache-file=./config.cache
'CC=ccache gcc' 'CC=ccache gcc' 'CC=ccache gcc' 'CC=ccache gcc'
'CC=ccache gcc' 'CC=ccache gcc' 'CC=ccache gcc' 'CC=ccache gcc'
'CC=ccache gcc' 'CC=ccache gcc'\"
