Get Text configuration error

Hi,
I am attempting to install Get Text 0.11.5 but have not managed to get
particularly far. When I run configure I get the following message:

configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH

I am not in the slightest proficient with Linux yet (I have had Redhat
8.0 on my system 4 days now!) and therefore have no idea where to go
from here.

Would you be able to suggest what to do please? I suspect the solution
is relatively simple, but like I said, I'm pretty clueless.

Full transcript:

address@hidden gettext-0.11.5]$ ./configure

Your help would be most appreciated

Regards
Rob Webster
