Hi,
I didn’t know where else to send this, so I am sending it here. If some other place is more appropriate please let me know. I have a linux system with large file support and wanted to have tar handle large files. I didn’t see any option to making tar to ensure this. Are there any? Does it automatically pick up the large file support from the OS? I am specifically wondering about the format of the tar header fields such as size and time. Any help is appreciated.
