Hi,
ld segfaults with a particular combination of input files on Alpha
(see http://bugs.debian.org/185556). Unfortunately, the error goes
away when trying to make a smaller test case. To reproduce it on a
Debian system, one can do:
apt-get build-dep gal
apt-get source gal
debuild
On other systems, one needs the gal source (0.24)
(ftp.gnome.org:/pub/GNOME/unstable/sources/gal/) and gnome development
libraries.
I've also tarred together the .o's, .a's and .so's and put them at
http://people.debian.org/~falk/ld-bug.tar.bz2
This is with binutils 2.13.90.0.20-0.1 (Debian version). The crash
does not occur with 2.12.90.0.1-4.
