Hi Jan,

Is this from the alpha release ("-pre1"), or the current release?

Sorry, I forgotto mention that, it is from sharutils 4.6.1-pre1.

I *just* this weekend cleaned up a whole bunch of those, which
is not to say I did not miss any :). I believe the current message
reads:

"Please unpack part '`cat ${lock_dir}/seq`' next."

There is such a message also. The "Please unpack" messages are:

#: src/shar.c:922
msgid ""
"Archives must be unpacked in sequence!\n"
"Please unpack part '`cat ${lock_dir}/seq`' next."
msgstr ""

#: src/shar.c:1405
msgid "Please unpack part 1 first!"
msgstr ""

#: src/shar.c:1407
msgid "Please unpack part"
msgstr ""

I ought to tell translators to consider all the text between
"part" and "next" as an ASCII arabic number....How do I
do that? :)

A comment in the .po-file perhaps? The idiom seems to be

#. TRANS ...
#: src/shar.c:1407
msgid "Please unpack part"
msgstr ""
