Hello all. After the recent release of GNU make 3.81, I'm embarking on
some long-needed cleanups of the GNU make codebase before new features
are added for the next release.

One of the cleanups I'm considering is removing support for the Amiga
platform, originally contributed and maintained by Aaron Digulla.

No one has sent me any updates related to the Amiga port of GNU make
since May, 1996. Although it's possible that the code has just
continued to work through all the changes over the last 10 years it
seems unlikely to me; rather I suspect no one is using this port any
longer.

If anyone has any thoughts or opinions on this please raise them on one
of the gnu.utils.* newsgroups, or by mailing directly to the
address@hidden mailing list.

Thanks!
