Can you please do us a favor and ask IBM/Rational/whatever whether
MVFS bug id ATRia04618 has been fixed, and let bug-gnu-utils know the
answer?  I can't ask, since I don't use their product myself.  If this
bug has been fixed in recent Clearcase versions, I'd like to add a
comment to that effect to the diffutils source code.  Also, it will be
to your benefit to upgrade, since the bug affects a lot more programs
than GNU diff.
