My
$ cat ~/bin/spell
cat ${1+"$@"}|ispell -l|sort|uniq -c
#fixing gnu bug. jidanni Thu Nov 22 05:05:09 CST 2001
makes numbered output. Maybe you could make such output an option of
spell(1).
The spell info page (1996) says mail to prep.ai.mit.edu. Check also
the rest of your info pages.
