Documentation for 'grep'

It's great that grep has the -P (Perl regexes) option. However, it's not
listed like all the other options -- just mentioned in passing under the
description of -F. I never thought to look there (why would I?), so
never knew about it. Like the implementers, I thought that would be
really useful, so I eventually wrote a grep clone in Perl to do it. Now
I learn about -P.... Please update the doc to actually mention the -P
option so fewer others waste the same time....

Is there a way I could contribute to udpating/enhancing documentation
for Gnu software?

Thanks!
