Just a note that I will use libgettextpo_version to determine if I need
to fallback to a hack or can use the C function.

I noticed that it doesn't seem like this was bumped for 0.16.1 - unless
of course it only gets bumped when libgettextpo itself changes - perhaps
that should be automatically updated based on version.sh and
gettext-po.h.in?
