Can you please tell me: What other software installs .m4 files which clash
with those from gettext?

I've been considering to install the .m4 files under $prefix/share/gettext
rather than $prefix/share/aclocal, but this would disrupt the way some
people work. Therefore I want to do this only if there is a very good reason.
