Karl, today I went to <www.gnu.og>, selected [GNU Packages], entered
'diff' to search, and 'numdiff' appeared on the list. That's why I
thought it was a GNU package (of course later I should have known
better after I saw the code).
Note that when the list appears, the directory structure shows:
* FSF Home >
* Resources >
* Directory >
* GNU Project Software # <== not "GNU Packages"
It looks like the home page entry should be [GNU Project Software]. I
think in one of the earlier main page formats one had a choice of GNU
versus all other software. Maybe the list could have an asterisk to
indicate GNU packages. Anyway, the distinction is blurred with the
current setup
