It is blurred, this gives a better 3d-effect. Anyhow, 
the one on www.gnubg.org consist of three different 
images, so it's no problem to change it.

At the moment I play around a little with gimp, separating
the gnu and the board. Later it will be possible to use the 
basic images for different styles on different purposes
(splash screen, webpage, cd-covers, html exports ...)
