[Bug-gnubg] Fatal error

Dear Developers,
On the recommendation of expert players at First Internet Backgammon 
Service, I downloaded GNU.  It seemed to download and install okay.  I 
then downloaded the latest build, as instructed in the site: 
http://www.bkgm.com/gnu/AllAboutGNU.html.  This also seemed to extract 
and install okay.  But now I need help!  Each time I try to activate the 
GNU, I get the error "This program has committed a fatal error and will 
be closed."  What do I need to do, what have I done wrong?
