Should we just have a options and settings:

set flag cube very bad C
set flag cube bad      c
set flag cube doubtful c!
set flag chequer very bad P
set flag chequer bad      p
set flag chequer doubtful p!

Or alternatively:

set flags cube C c c!
set flags chequer P p p!

This allows users with other languages to make their own choices
