Personally, I hate the install programs that automagically connect and download
for you (mostly because I have slow modem at home but a fast connection at work,
so I generally download at work to install at home).

If possible, it would be nice to separate the download from the installation.
e.g. the Xemacs for windows installer works like that : you download and
execute the install program, you select the features you want and it downloads
them; at this point you can install from the local files.
