The list address is almost undoubtedly now appearing on one or more"CD
with 250 million opt-in addresses". If it is closed to non-members, we
will stop getting useful reports from non-subscibers who have
problems. Better to find a way to run spam filters on submissions. If
you look back in the last month or two, you will see the options
discussed at length.
Annoying as I find spam, I would still be totally opposed to closing
the list to non-subscribers.
