Hi,

I have been using tutor mode to improve my game. It is awkward to keep looking at HINTS.
But there could be an option for positive reinforcement for learning.

Using "Clicker" learning as is used with dog training and apparently extremely successful for gymnastic students is a POSITIVE reinforcement when you do the correct thing instantly.

What this would do for GNU BG is when you chose the best move there would be a positive sound "a click" and there is no negative reinforcement of bad moves so no sound at all unless you do the best move.

The rate of improvement for gymnastics and other skill related actions is that the instant you make the correct action you are rewarded by a positive sound. This short circuits the neural networks humans have (and other critters) for positive training and accelerates learning far above normal learning curves.

Can this be added to the next version of GNU BG???

Seems it would be and easy task to add an "IF" statement that "IF move = Best rollout" then play sound XYZ else sound = null.

Can you add this in to improve our games?

Cheers from the jungles of Belize,

Bruce
