This does not happen on my system... strange...!

I imagine you were reluctant to save the results under the same name as the input, potentially clobbering existing files if the input is a .sgf,

But it doesn't clear any analysis, does it? Not tested either...

but putting the results elsewhere *and with different filenames* is somewhat counterintuitive.

Could have a output directory which the user specifies, or ....
