These are needed for any build, I believe.

Right! Just remove these!

Hmmmm...
What is you really want to do? I'm not sure I understand what you want
here, and why you want to delete the line above.

There is also one important thing to have in mind.
You need glib!
This is so important that I'll type it again:
You need glib.
Did I mention that you also need glib? (Yes, even though you're
compiling without the GTK interface, you still need glib!)

I'll have a look, and see what I can do.
