I can confirm that the issues noted by Myshkin are present in my latest build, made from the most recent snaphot.

Subject: [Bug-gnubg] Tooltips in the match and dice tabs of options panel

Hello GnuBG Maintainers,
I noticed that the tooltips of the RNG pop-up list in the dice tab
which explained what the different random number generators are have
been removed. I think that removing those tooltips was a mistake. At
least for the sake of completeness of the description of features,
giving users those capsule descriptions of the different RNGs was a
good thing. I would urge you to please restore those tooltip
descriptions.
On a related note, I also noticed something strange in the match
tab of the options panel. When the cursor is over either the words
"Default match length" or "length/points" the tooltip displayed is
"Specify the default length to use when starting new matches." This
is what you would expect to see. However, when the cursor is inside
the white box where the default number selected appears, including
over the arrows which select that number, the tooltip which is
displayed reads "A user-provided external shared library". This
certainly cannot be correct. If memory serves, this was the tooltip
description of the former "User" selection of the RNG pop-up list in
the dice tab. That selection was second from the bottom of the pop-up
list and was apparently removed.
                        Take care,
                                  Myshkin LeVine
