[Bug-gnubg] [Proposal] Reorg of Settings/options dialogs |

I was trying to simplify the layout of the Settings/Options dialog, since some
users
feels unccomfortable facin all gnubg options and settings:
1 Game tab:
=========
1.1 Start new games immediately: do we need this ? If it is unchecked (don't
start immediately),
how do you start a new game via the GUI ? Using "new game" cryptic command ?
ugly.
I see no usage for this in the GUI version.
1.2 Roll dice automatically: same as above. Do we need this in the GUI version ?
1.3 Play bearoff moves automatically: do we really need this ? I would say no.
1.4 Variations: I would put this in the dialog that pops up via "File/New" (or
the "New" button).
That's the moemnt when you choose which kind of game you wanna play.
2 Merge Game, Cube and Match tabs into a Game tab
=======================================
Once the "Game" tab has been simplified, we could merge Game, Cube and Match
tabs
into a Game tab, with sections:
- Common options (allow drag to illegal, accept illegal
and use doubling cube)
- Money play (Crawford, Jacoby, Beavers, Auto-doubles)
- Match play (Default length, MET)
3 Display tab:
==========
3.1 Clockwise movement: needed ? There's the toolbar button (probably easier to
reach) ...
3.2 Move delay: needed ? Nah, just set it 300ms.
3.3 Show dice below board: needed ? Nah ...
3.4 Show PosID over the board (GNUBGID): Needed ? Just show it (except
fullscreen mode).
3.5 Restore window positions: can we just have this default to ON ?
4 Other tab:
========
3.1 Confirm when aborting game: needed ? just defualt to ON.
3.2 Confirm when overwriting: needed ? just defualt to ON.
3.3 Record al games: needed ? just defualt to ON.
3.4 Go to first game when loading : needed ? just defualt to ON.
3.5 Display colors in game list: needed ? just defualt to ON. (OK maybe
I'm being radical here).
5. New "Eval engine" tab:
==================
I would create it with the current cache size + num threads options, plus maybe
infos
on available bearoff dBs, weight file version etc.I would also move here the
"Analyze/Evaluation
speed" dialog (removing it from the Analyze menu).
MaX.
