[Bug-gnubg] No analysis available

I am feeling like a complete idiot.  No matter what I do the analyze -> analyze move action is unavailable and the view -> panels -> analysis panel is simply a gray header stating "no analysis available".  I have tried every combination of options and modes I can think of and have gone so far as to un/re-install.

Any help getting the analysis panel to display and stay current would be greatly appreciated.
