Shame. It was nice an easy way to measure cpu power if like me you were looking to buy a new computer.

Lets get rid of it, it is more trouble than it's worth (I'm not sure it's worth
much really). I think I added some multithread code just for this (sync_start
etc), so this will be simplified as well.

I'm all for removing the single-threaded code now as well. We might as well get
rid of the windows specific multi-threaded code as well (maybe with an
independent speed test first).
