Although I haven't mentioned this on the forum before, I am not at all
surprised. There is something seriously messed up somewhere in the Board
design pages. I have discovered recently (as an example) that the color
picker goes awry and causes unusual program problems when it is open and
closed a number of times - when using 3D mode. Usually ends in a  seg
fault on *nix system. I bring this up because it is posisble your
experience in the board design pages and the system acting oddly are
also related to what I have seen.
