Over the years we have tried to remain backwards compatible to GTK 2.6.0
. This is an oversight, and has gone unnoticed since very few people
build with the older ones.
With that being said, I have made a minor adjustment to a couple files
(gtkcube.c and gtkchequer.c) to include a compatibility header I
recently added (gtklocdefs.h). Can you try and pull the latest code out
of CVS and see if the linker error is fixed for the tooltips?
CentOS is now up to version 6 and it does use autoconf 2.63 .
