Using the current-as-of-today release of MSYS2, attempting to build rc1 failed early on in the make The apparent problem: aclocal.m4 in the GnuCOBOL distribution is flagged as having by generated by aclocal 1.16.1. The MSYS2 distribution has the aclocal 1.16.2 release, and apparently automake wants that output. Many warning messages ensued, and then a halt. I deleted the aclocal.m4 file, which caused make to rebuild it. I still got many warnings, but the build proceeded to a conclusion. Just thought you should know. |
