Hi,
is there a specific reason why argp.m4 (gl_ARGP) does not
check for the existence of a working argp implementation
and thus argp is always built and linked? I am asking because
I am building a binary and a library in one package. For the
binary (this of course is the part which needs argp_parse) it
does not matter when I use the gnulib version of argp, but
for the library this may cause trouble if there is already
argp support in the (g)libc. Would it be completely idotic
to implement the same mechanism as in alloca.m4 to achieve
conditional compilation and linking of argp?
With best regards,
Patrick Huber
