AFAIR it alludes to controversies between the BSD camps.
No, I don't have a public source for this, I'd have to ask
(should I?). I thought this was more commonly known (with
me being the exception that didn't know) or seen that way.
If that's not the case, I'm unsure if it's worth bothering.
